This is the second apartment I’ve lived in who uses American Pest Management. In both complexes, I got a termite problem. But this company claims that they can’t treat it unless they can see the termites entry point. Without saying it directly like this, they tell me that I have to let the infestation get severe before they can do anything about it. Living with termite swarms is a living nightmare. When they’re swarming, which last hours, I can’t do anything with my time other than grab termites with wet wipes to throw them away. It’s extremely stressful- to the point where I have to cry. In both apartments, I told them where the termites are located because, frankly, it’s obvious. And I was right. Yet I still had to fight, more than anyone should have to, in order to get treatment. I’ve worked with a few of the exterminators. The ones who claimed they can’t find the entry point, didn’t seem to look very hard. I told them where the entry point generally is, why is that not enough for them to treat that general area? Termites only show up in one corner of my apartment, so it’s pretty obvious as to where they’re generally located. For my first termite experience: I told him where they were. He couldn’t figure it out and said they might be coming from else. But I told him over and over that there is no evidence of termites anywhere else. My words should be enough. When they finally sent out a different exterminator, he was able to find the entry point right away with no problem. Exactly where I said it was. At this point, the infestation had gotten so bad that my apartment was almost unlivable. I don’t know why they wouldn’t just treat the general area or fumigate. I don’t understand their reasoning behind this and I think it’s wrong. I said to the exterminator today, “ So basically, I have to wait until this infestation gets severe before anyone will help me?” He denied that, but I could tell that he knew that I’m right. I just worded it more honestly than he did. So if an experienced exterminator could please help me ASAP, I am very much in need. Termites reproduce like no other. The problem will keep getting worse, and the solution seems pretty simple to me. I shouldn’t be forced to live like this SOS

American Pest Management is the resident pest control company for my apartment complex & I have to say the employees are always extremely nice, professional, and accommodating. Josh in particular just did a fantastic job on short notice and was top notch across the board. Thank you Josh And American Pest Management!!

I live in the Foxcroft Apartments and I’ve had termite situation for a couple of weeks now. I was looking forward to my apartment being serviced today, I just got home and had a card in my door saying sorry we were unable to service your home today due to, “loose pet “. My dog was in his crate so I’m not sure why it was assumed that he was loose? Really unfortunate and really disappointed to now have to wait another week when there was no loose pet.

Beware of This Pest Control Company – They Overstep and Make False Reports If you live in an apartment complex that uses this pest control service, be very careful about letting them into your unit. Their job is supposed to be simple—spray for pests. Instead, they took it upon themselves to report completely false and baseless claims to my apartment management. They stated that my cats were the cause of any bug issues in the building. Not a dirty apartment, not a full litter box, not food left out, not dead bugs—just the mere existence of cats. Anyone with common sense knows that cats are predators. If anything, their presence is why we haven’t needed pest control in the first place. This company clearly doesn’t stick to their job, and worse, they could put tenants at risk of unnecessary trouble, rent increases, or even eviction by making ridiculous, unfounded reports. If you have pets, be warned—this company will try to blame them for pest issues, regardless of the actual conditions of your home. I strongly advise against allowing them into your unit unless absolutely necessary. If you do, make sure you have documentation of your apartment’s condition because they clearly don’t operate with integrity.

Nick Barker is hands down the best technician we’ve ever had. He’s always positive, kind, and incredibly patient with both residents and staff. No matter how many questions are thrown his way, he takes the time to explain everything in detail and never loses his cool — even when people are being rude. That kind of attitude and professionalism is rare these days. Nick truly goes above and beyond every visit, he is very knowledgeable and always gives the best pest advice. You can tell he really knows his stuff and cares about helping people understand what's going on. He definitely deserves a raise — employees like him are hard to come by, American Pest Management is very lucky to have him.

Some of the techs at my apartment are great. I only request ONCE a month & service included in my rent. Prior to American Pest coming, the building had a horrendous problem. Please tell your techs to not lecture ladies like they're dumb women. Your job is to treat the units our Manager tells you...period. Today second MONTH in a row, same tech - same nonsense lecture. Stay in your lane and do the job you are paid for & quit picking on single women and giving them a hard time...just stop please! Be NICE!
