Our elementary students were unable to go outside for recess due to an overwhelming number of mosquitoes. This is an unsustainable practice and is leading to the die-off of our ecosystems. I even argue that mosquito spraying hurts predators of mosquitos and makes mosquitos worse since larvae are not effected by the spraying. The most sustainable solution is larval fungus and to encourage less impervious surfaces, better drainage, more native plants and to reduce the population of human density. More humans = more problems.

Corey Archer was the tech that came out when my wife called. Because of all the rain, we have a swamp forming in the woods in the back. The mosquito population exploded in short time. He came, assessed the situation, came back the following day dropped pellets into the water and fogged the yard and woods directly behind my yard and a neighbors. Not only did he do a great job but he was friendly, affable and all around a good guy to represent the county. Charleston, as a transplant from Connecticut, you should know what kind of great people work and therefor, represent you to the general public.
