I understand it’s a requirement to ask me if I want a CVS card, but this is the first time anyone’s taken a no as a personal insult.

Gets more and more impersonal. The new pharmacy procedure is that you enter all your details and answer questions on a screen…I picked up my prescriptions today and the pharmacist never said ‘Hi’ or ‘How are you?’, never even made eye contact or even bothered responding to my thanks. This is not the right relationship between pharmacist and patient.

I don’t even know where to start. We’ve been using this pharmacy for over 10 years, but in the past 2 years it’s really gone downhill. Pharmacy employees are rude, the line to pick up Rx sometimes is a whole aisle long — and lately, they seem to be out of the meds we need half the time. Terrible service, and bad stocking. We moved our Rx to the Walgreens across the street a few weeks ago, and so far so good. We really wanted to support CVS given they started the pharmacy approach to not sell tobacco, but their slowness, rudeness, and lack of stock has become unbearable.

Why is every staff member in this cvs location extremely and blatantly rude? And it’s been like that for at least 3 years! Got to love when the register lady standing AT the register gives you attitude, doesn’t offer to ring you out and tells you to use the self checkout register. I mean really.. isn’t that what she’s paid for? To ring out customers? There is never anyone in the aisles to assist customers and help find things, that includes the pharmacy. No one is ever at the consultation/drop off window so you HAVE to wait in the long line with other customers waiting to pick up their prescriptions just to ask a question and ask for help. I mean really… this is unacceptable.

The CVS coupon program / Extra Care and product sales have made shopping at CVS the absolute worst customer experience. I can't use a coupon without it taking an extra 10 minutes to sort out various issues. The last time I was there, I tried to use the self-checkout with a 35% off coupon. The kiosk said I needed to sign up for Extra Care to use the coupon. So I signed up on my phone. Then, when I tried to use the coupon, it said it had already been used. (I can assure you that it had not.) So I brought my situation to the cashier for help. She said that sometimes, on the expiration day of a coupon, the coupon doesn't work, which is ridiculous. So she tried to do it manually. It was rejected again, and this time, because the Extra Care number on the coupon didn't match the Extra Care number I was just assigned. (I got the coupon in the mail, addressed to me, so I'm not sure why I had to go through an extra rigaramole and apply for a whole new account to use it.) Then the cashier said she would apply the 35% discount manually. She tried to do the math on a piece of paper, but she couldn't figure out how to calculate a 35% discount. I had my phone, so I worked it out on my calculator and I showed her the amount. I complained about the horrible customer experience, and she advised me to call 1-800-SHOPCVS. I tried to do that on my way home, but after working my way through a bunch of menu options, I finally connected with a customer service person who couldn't help me. He kept trying to blame the cashier, and I kept trying to explain that the coupon program was the problem, and the cashier was just a character in this horrible nightmare. Heading over to Walgreens from here on out. It's right across the street.
