The lady was very helpful getting my new dogs license and finding her age and breed

This Shelter does the best they can with full capacity like so many others. Randy is a kind Animal Control Officer who gladly accepted my donations. They are so grateful for any donations they receive serving FOUR communities.

Went to pick up my dog, called first and they waited for me. It cost $40, which was totally fair. The facility was a little hard to find as it's way around the bend on Reaume Pkwy. It was clean and the staff was great! They even gave me a leash to get Izzy in the car.

Tried to call several times to get them to come out and get the cat and three kittens that have been roaming around my yard. No answer and they don’t call back. Seriously, what’s the point of animal control if they don’t do anything? Are they truly that busy? I’d like to leave zero stars but you can’t.

Horrible service, very rude. We have had an issue for over a year with a neighbor and her 5 dogs and they will not help resolve the situation. They make a report and do not followup on reports. They say they sit down the street for 20 minutes to listen and observe but they never did and we have video proof as we were home. She simply drove by slowly in front of the house and kept driving. Our neighbor was home at the time and the front door wide open but yet did not stop and speak to anyone.. Never stopped and exited the vehicle or talked to a homeowner. I didn't want to leave a single star but its required. This will also be reported to a higher authority. They are saying they do one thing but video shows its completely different. The issue is not being resolved and Downriver Animal Control does not do what they say their doing.
