Adopting from DuPage County Animal Services was a wonderful experience! From the accurate and updated listings on their website to the prompt responses I constantly received throughout the process (both via email and phone). Their website is truly fantastic and has great resources too! The new center was clean, well organized, bright, and felt like a happy place for animals and humans alike. All of the staff we interacted with were fantastic, but I’d like to give special recognition to Meghan (who promptly and kindly responded to all of my emails) and Dee (who helped us finalize our adoption appointment and bring Luna home)! Thanks to everyone’s wonderful work, we were able to bring our beautiful little girl to her new home!

I came in looking for my best friend, the staff talked to me about what type of friend I was looking for, and helped introduce me to my baby boy, I adore this lil guy. The staff was great, a wonderful selection of deserving animals looking for their best friend. Trust me this place will help you get your forever friend.

My wife and I adopted our newest furry family member from DCAS. Staff were friendly, patient, and informative. We were never felt pressured or rushed during our 30 minute appointment. Stick is a great addition to our family. Cinnamon is warming up to him 🙂Thank you for your wonderful services!

My experience with DCAS has been nothing but wonderful. From the moment I submitted the online application they have been extremely communicative and helpful. I originally planned on adopting one kitten but ended up scheduling a meet and greet with a bonded pair of 3-month old kittens from the same litter. We were given plenty of time to get to know them during the meet and greet without any pressure or awkwardness from the staff. One of the kittens i met was a “bashful buddy” and even though he was hiding under a stool the whole time, I couldn’t bear the thought of separating them. Once I decided to adopt the pair, the “checkout” process was simple yet very informative. All the animals from this shelter comes microchipped and fully vaccinated (according to their age) with the full paperwork. I was very impressed at how thorough their record keeping was and how knowledgeable and empathetic the staff was. The kittens have been thriving since they got home and the “bashful buddy” turned out to be the most loving, cuddly, and clingy little guy! I am utterly in love with them. I highly recommend adopting from DCAS.

I adopted a German Shepherd from DuPage Animal Shelter. I was impressed with their due diligence in the background process and medical care. They even requested that my Wife and our dog Apollo come out for a meet and greet with our new dog, Bella. Through the shelter Bella has found a new home and good health. She has become a great addition to Our Family. Side note, the adoption fee was beyond reasonable, so if you have the means please donate extra. I did, it was a small price to pay for the happiness that. Bella has brought to our home.
