They are completely useless. I have no idea why they are to paying this man when he comes out and does absolutely nothing. If this is government funded they need funds removed. My neighbor‘s dog has been almost attacking people for the last year. Hoffman has been out here a few times and does absolutely nothing is being done. They’re inside of a home with inhumane condition. She let them use the bathroom all in the house feces and urine everywhere He goes in a house and he still does absolutely nothing. These does jump out the window over top of the air conditioner with leashes on almost hanging their self I have videos of this, and the guy from Hoffman’s does absolutely nothing. hoffman’s is completely useless all of the neighbors here called the police a few times a week about this situation with these dogs The police calls Hoffman they come out and do nothing.. The dogs are in. everybody’s yard almost bit me and my kids last week they killed someone cat. no need call them because they’re going to do absolutely nothing and the guy who comes out and keeps saying call your local senator what is he being paid for And to top it off, he has a bad attitude. Why is this kennel even still open Close them down and give the contract to somebody who’s actually going to do something. Hoffmans is useless. They’re terrible. They need shut down. Don’t even waste your time calling them.

Absolutely horrible people. They pressed a whole bunch of bogus charges against me for my dogs and then didn’t even have the balls to show up at court, and it all got thrown out. Which is fine they can waste my time, but the downtown judge did not like how he wasted his very happy for the new investigation. They opened up within themselves and the county and the state do not ever do any business with these people. They are nothing but scam artists and animal killers. They don’t even know the laws they are supposed to be upholding. They get a bunch of government funding yet do not follow any of the rules set forth by the state or the federal government. Completely unprofessional, deplorable despicable, and disgusting humans.

I had to leave a review because my experience with them was actually quite pleasant. My german shepherd got out last night and someone called Hoffmans and the catcher went and picked him up. Then I see all these reviews online.. so I start freaking out. Went out to the kennels to see if they were back yet (they weren’t) and I met Gary, who was super friendly and helpful. He Took my name/number and showed me around the place. It was really clean. There was quite a few dogs in there as well and overall it was just a really nice looking and clean place. I got my boy back as soon as the dog catcher was back in the area (after business hours) And he was also insanely friendly and helpful with everything as well! I know there are so many people who have had bad experiences with them (according to the reviews). But mine was actually very pleasant and I had absolutely ZERO issues with the whole ordeal

Absolutely horrendous place for an animal to be with continued reports of animal abuse and neglect- research the name and you will see the news has been involved often over the years and has acted as a voice for the citizens who have been demanding a change to another animal control officer.  I would like to understand why he continues to be contracted when there are alternate options who have shown to provide better care and adoption policies in the communities he has a contract with currently. Concerns: * Residents have reported them for putting down healthy animals before the 48-hour time period. * Residents have reported that when they do manage to retrieve their animals they are often returned in poor physical health, including sores on their bodies. * The facility is not kept clean and the smell of urine can be smelled from the lobby. * They have no website or active facebook page to share what animals they have. * They state nowhere what townships they serve, so residents would not know to look there unless someone told them. * They do nothing to publicly promote animals that are available for adoption. * Despite animals only having 48 hours to be claimed by owners they do not answer their phone. They state clearly on their answering machine that you must leave a message and wait to be called back, which can take up to 24 hours. * Residents are not permitted to stop in even during their stated business hours without a prior appointment by calling and leaving a message. * They are not open to the public on weekends when many animals get picked up. Leaving residents unable to get a response for sometimes 3 days or more.

I can not believe how rude these people are. I simply called to inquire about pulling unwanted dogs from here to save them and the extremely rude woman I had to speak with could not answer my question. Do you actually care about dogs or are you just making money?
