    Very disappointed with Hughes. Earlier this year I received a WDO inspection from them that cleared the property of termites. Only months later, I now have visible, active termites confirmed by their own termite rep. Shockingly, I was told to simply “leave it” because they would likely go away — which is not a professional response. Clearly, the rep knew they were responsible for the WDO. Since then, I’ve reached out by email to request tenting or a real solution, but I’ve been ignored. Meanwhile, they continue charging my credit card for quarterly service without addressing the core issue. As a business owner myself, I know mistakes happen — but you fix them when you miss something. I even raised concerns shortly after move-in, but was dismissed because “the property was tented five years ago.” Clearly, parts of the attic were never properly checked. Now, I’m unable to rent part of the property due to this unresolved termite problem, costing me money. Hughes needs to stand by their inspection and take responsibility. It makes it worse as someone I know at the company said Hughes should pay for the remediation.

    Living in FL you have to accept you have bugs - everywhere - but not in the home! We called Hughes to make sure no critters got past the threshold of our windows and doors while we were away on a trip. Chris came, put on shoe booties to protect our floors from dirt, and sprayed away. He was knowledgeable and personable and we felt very happy with the results.

    Unresponsive, unprofessional, unaccountable. The team from Hughes came to my house to assess my possible termite damage. I work from home, so I did not supervise them closely. However, when they left, I noticed that they damaged the area in and around the entry to my crawl space (pictures included). It's a small matter, so I let it go, yet was hesitant to continue doing business with them. About a week later, one of their representatives reached out to me to inquire about the quote they sent me. I mentioned the damage and provided the pictures. Rather than apologize, they denied culpability. Since their denial, I've reached out to them via voicemail and text - both to Tony who reached out about the quote and to the tech who came to my house (Evan). They have not responded to my inquiries. Either they did not recognize the damage they did, or they recognized it and did not tell me. The former is a matter of attention to detail, the later a matter of integrity. When combined with their lack of accountability and general unresponsiveness, I feel fully justified giving them the worst possible rating. ***UPDATE*** Since I posted this, a representative replied with a comment to this post. They said they would review it internally and follow-up. About a week later, I did receive a call from Hughes. However, it was not a follow up from management, but a salesperson reaching out to sell me again. No mention of my previous issues. I was taken aback by the complete lack of awareness and accountability throughout multiple encounters with people at different levels of the company. If I could take away the one star, I would.

    We hired Hugh’s Pest Control with the understanding that we would pay a flat quarterly rate, which included treatment and follow-up services as needed. Dennis, our technician, specifically stated that if any issues arose within that quarter, they would return to address the problem at no additional cost. Unfortunately, that promise was not upheld. Despite treatment, we continued to experience wasps entering our home—a potentially dangerous issue for our family. Dennis initially said he would send someone to inspect the attic, but we never heard from him. What’s most frustrating is not just the unresolved pest issue, but the lack of communication and accountability. It seems that once the problem proved more complicated, the company chose to disappear rather than follow through. I cannot recommend Hugh’s Pest Control based on this experience. We trusted them to help protect our home and family, and they simply did not deliver.

    Highly recommend! Wonderful LOCAL pest control company! We needed their services for a pretreatment needed for a paver driveway installation and their team was quick to assist! They were at the jobsite first thing next morning and completed the job efficiently and up to our standards! Big thanks to Joe, JoAnne, Le-Ann and the rest of the team who helped! Thanks all, we will be using your company for all our termite and pest control needs!

    Hughes stands behind their word. Had things that were missed when buying a house but they came out to do detailed inspections to make sure I was good. Businesses make mistakes but the reaction is the most important thing.
