I can’t say enough wonderful things about James City Pest Control! The technician is fantastic and it’s always the same friendly, reliable person each visit. When I called to make payment arrangements due to unexpected circumstances from the government shutdown, they went above and beyond to help. Their kindness, understanding, and compassion truly stood out. We’ll be customers for life and recommend them to everyone we know!

Recently we contacted James Pest Control to help rid our home of an ant problem that had been ongoing for a couple of months. When we called, they were very kind and went out of their way to work with us as we live an hour away. The technician that came to our home was very professional, he explained in detail what he was doing to help our situation and how to properly care for the treated areas around the house. Overall, we had a great experience with them and plan to continue to take advantage of their great service in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone!

So Far I'm appalled at the level of service provided by James Pest Control. They guaranteed they would get rid of the Ants. It would take two visits, for a Cost of $150. It would be 15 days apart. First the "Front Office" failed to make the 15 day followup appointment. They did however have the audacity to send the bill, and when I called to inquire, they stated, you are a first time customer, so we want to receive payment before we finish service. The gentleman was scheduled to come out a week later. He was very cordial and professional, however here we are 15 days later, and we still have Ants and I just received a call saying they would do it, but for an extra $50. Not only have they failed to drastically decrease or eliminate our Ant problem, they continue to try and extort us for more Money. The Customer Service lady was not the kindest, nor customer service oriented. DO NOT HIRE JAMES PEST CONTROL! If you're seeking Pest Control Services, go with somebody accredited and carefully read the reviews. That was my failure. After my regretful and deplorable situation I've read numerous reviews revealing that my situation is not unique. STAY AWAY! I will be discussing this situation with my lawyers to determine the most appropriate course of action to take with this entity.

Mr. James and his team are absolutely amazing. We have been using their services at home and with our condominium for about a decade now. They are polite, professional, courteous, and always do a great job. I can't think of having anyone else care for our home and business.

Though James Pest does a good job of insect removal, I will give them that to be fair, their pricing and ways of doing business are not competitive with other great pest control companies in Williamsburg. First, their quarterly fee for spraying is about 25% higher than their competitors and not only that, but it ONLY includes exterior treatments whereas other companies include exterior and interior (as needed) within their cost. Also, their cost does NOT include any interim follow up visits between quarterly sprays just in case an area needs a redo(!) whereas most other companies include these follow ups for free (which I think is only fair!!). I am done ranting but thought it was impt to alert others as this left me with a bad taste in my mouth. As I said though, their insect removal is typically spot on but for price sensitive and benefits folks, look elsewhere!
