this was the worst cleaning service ever. At first he told me its $150/hr for deep clean (which is absurd) and for regular clean he said $230 in total. I said okay ill do regular clean. two ladies come to my house and say they only have an hour to clean so i got confused and told him i didnt know it was $230/hr and then he said no its $230 for 2 hours but i was still confused bc i told him how big my house is and 2 hours doesnt even get through one level let alone all 3. so i said whatever ill just let them clean for 2 hours and thats it thinking they would atleast do a good job with the parts they do clean. After they left and i went to check their work (shoulve checked before paying them that was my mistake) and see that there is still crumbs on the floor, stains on the glass tables, the stove isnt wiped down, the mirrors are cleane, etc etc. when they were cleaning i even had to come remove the rugs from the kitchen for them because they didnt do it themselves they were just mopping around randomly. So basically i paid $230 for absolutely nothing and ended up having to clean everything properly on my own.

I am very pleased with Merry Maids, they were very responsive from original estimate till the day of the cleaning. I contacted few companies got few diff quotes and read so many reviews. I am glad I went with MM. They did such an amazing job cleaning. I am very OCD about cleaning and they cleaned every single corner. I highly recommend there services. Made moving in so much easier and quicker. Thank You MM!

Initially I would have rated a 4 star but the great response from Raina and the owner of the Grayslake franchise were exceptional and expedient in the handling of a small issue. The crew of 2 were nice, conscientious and left my house smelling and feeling clean from the floors to the bathrooms and the kitchen. Being in a service industry myself, I always appreciate good customer support and in this particular instance, it was exceptional. I would not hesitate to use this Merry Maids franchise again.

Hired Merry Maids to do a deep clean before we move out of our home. The place looks and smells amazing! One bathroom that we never use was not cleaned as well as the others but the rest of the house was spotless! Thank you, Merry Maids!

We hired Merry Maids to do a deep clean of our house. We spoke with them beforehand about our expectations- thorough cleaning of the entire home, including fridge, oven, all dusty areas etc. With a new baby on the way, this was especially important to us. What we received not only *wasn't* a deep clean, but the shoddiest cleaning job we've ever gotten. And it cost over $500 since it took them 3 hours. I'm not sure how those 3 hours were spent, since they seemingly only performed a cursory vacuuming and wipe down of certain surfaces (with a strange cleaning agent that smelled strongly of cinnamon). Certain areas of the house were actually dirtier after they left (see photo of the oven). When they finished, they gave us the "opportunity" to check their work, but had already taken all of their supplies out of the house. We pointed out many mistakes: no cleaning under the bed, entirely skipped rooms, no cleaning behind the couch, skipped baseboards. They did a cursory wipe down of what we noted but the clock kept running. I had to clean for 2 hours after they left to make up for things before we had company over-and I am almost 9 months pregnant. I shared feedback with the sales team since it was clear that the cleaners themselves were incapable of delivering what we had asked for. They of course said that a refund wouldn't be possible and said their standard protocol would be to send the same crew back to fix their mistakes-obviously not a viable option since the crew had already proven themselves to be 100% incompetent. So now I've filed a dispute with my credit card. A true sham business. Check out the photos and decide for yourself if that's a $510 deep clean. EDITED TO ADD: this company tried to charge me a SECOND time for a one time "cleaning" that wasn't really a cleaning. I needed to get a new credit card number to prevent further fraud.
