01/22/2025 I want to commend Kris and the animal control team for their prompt and compassionate response to my call about a neglected dog. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this poor animal suffering, and Kris reassured me that action would be taken. She listened attentively and assured me that someone would check on the dog and the owners. It’s heartening to know that there are people committed to ensuring animals are not left to suffer in cold weather or without food. Thank you for your dedication to protecting those who cannot protect themselves! Thank you so much to the Mission, Texas Animal Control team for everything you do for our community. I called earlier today regarding an opossum that had been run over on 495 in Mission. Your team responded quickly and sent someone right away to pick up the poor animal, which was either injured or had already passed away. I’m incredibly grateful for your swift action and the care you show in these situations. It means a lot to know we have such a dedicated team looking out for the well-being of animals and keeping our community safe. Thank you for all that you do!

YOU NEED A 24/7 LINE. IVE SEEN MANY STRAY DOGS AND CATS AT NIGHT THAT NEED TO BE PICKED UP. ITS EXACTLY WHY YOU FIND DEAD ANIMALS IN THE MORNING. PEOPLE LET THEM OUT AND THRY EITHER GET IN A FIGHT OR GET RUNNED OVER. EVEN IF THEY HAVE OWNERS THAT LET THEM OUT, THEY NEED TO BE PICKED UP AND SURRENDERED TO THE SHELTER FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY. ITS ZERO STARS.

Called twice to report 3 dogs who got into my backyard and were trying to attack my dogs. I’m still waiting for someone to show up. Had to place my dogs in our garage for their own safety. I’m still trying to determine what the purpose of having an “after hours” number is for 🤔

Called and asked them to pick up a couple of stray dogs that tried to attack us and almost bit one of us, said they weren’t picking up animals any more because they have no where to put them. So I guess we just live with the danger of the dogs attacking us? If the dogs attack can we sue the city since they actively aren’t doing their jobs?

I want to know who I can speak to regarding stray dogs causing so much conflict. They tip over trash cans and spread trash all over yards and street. Neighbors and myself have to pick up bloody tampons, soiled diapers and used toilet paper daily. I had to contact Mission PD since someone driving by saw their child's missing shoe in my yard and got upset so they kicked my door and harrased me. I explained to them the dogs are not mine but they were so upset and screaming I had to contact police. I have called animal control for 6 weeks already and they keep telling me they are not taking animals in! Please help they are causing tension with neighrbors. Update: They came out today and got 1 of the dogs. Will contact them when other dogs are caught and ready to be picked up. Thank you!
