We called Pest Xclusion Pros to come check out a scratching noise coming from our attic. They came relatively quickly, I think within 4 or 5 days. We had no idea what it was so we weren’t able to give any preliminary information besides the scratching noise we heard. We were told he likely would not go into the attic, but would get on a ladder and see what was visible from the entry point. When he arrived, he did just that and noted that there were a few ants which surprised him, but no other evidence of any kind of pest or rodent. He offered to spray around the perimeter of the house for ants, which we accepted. He also recommended we get a camera and rodent bait trays to put in the attic to see if there was anything up there. We were told to call back if the issue persisted. I bought a camera to put up there, and when we got it set up I couldn’t believe how many droppings were up there that weren’t mentioned before. At that point it was clear we had a mouse or rat in the attic. This was confirmed within one day of setting up the camera, as I spotted a rodent scurrying around (I was unsure at the time if it was a mouse or a rat). We bought traps and bait and set them up and the mouse was caught within a few days. We did not reach back out to Pest Xclusion Pros after we had spotted the rodent because at that point our trust in the company was diminished. I am unsure how ants could be spotted but not the copious amounts of mouse droppings that were present right next to the entryway (I’ve attached a photo). We also had old mouse traps up there from mice we have had before. It was $75 for the initial visit which included the inspection and the complimentary ant spray. I don’t know if a follow up visit would have costed us more money being that it was a separate issue from the ants, but like I said our trust was diminished in the company. It only cost me $6.99 for the trap that killed the mouse.

We had a huge problem with sugar ants and box elder bugs. I tried all the home remedies and nothing helped. 2 years ago I contacted Paul and what a difference it made immediately. I wish I found him sooner. I highly recommend. He has reasonable rates, reliable and very respectful of my property.
