The best kind of carpenter ant is a dead one. In the house anyway. I started seeing “crumbs” which were actually tiny wood shavings from carpenter ants in our home. I came across Western Pest Control’s photos on Yelp. They’ve dealt with some nasty stuff so I figured they could do this easily. The phone call was answered on the first ring by a real person and she was nice. They had an appointment available same day and Kevin, the tech, was on time. He was early actually. Kevin was terrific. Professional and personable. He diagnosed the problem and provided a concise overview of the steps needed … no upsells, not pushy, not a fear monger. And the price was completely reasonable. Attached photos show the meticulous nature of the service and the immediate after effects. They were thorough. This wasn’t 10 minutes and wheels up. It was full coverage. By the time he left, I expected to just leave the doors open and for mosquitos to drop dead at the perimeter. You’ll see the carpenter ant is a dark red and black. It’s blurry but the powder on it is residue after being flushed out. Thanks, Western Pest Control. I hope I don’t have to call again, but if I do, I’m calling you.

These guys worked their tails off for three and a half hours without a break. They were personable, professional and courteous. They guaranteed their work, and left an open door to be called back for any reason. After trenching the perimeter, drilling and patching probably 80 feet of slab concrete, they left my property better than they found it. The price was less than I expected and the service was the best.

We suspected we had moles in our backyard. We contacted Western based on the Yelp reviews. They came out very quickly confirmed we had moles, answered all of our questions and put out 9 traps and told us what to expect. One trap triggered within 24 hours. They came back a week later, assessed the yard, and we decided together to leave the remaining traps for another week. It was worth every penny of the very reasonably priced service to have professionals address the issue.

Kevin is great and I would highly recommend him. He's a true professional and he's knowledgeable, respectful, and friendly. We were lucky that someone recommended him to us for our squirrel and rat problems.

I scheduled an appointment to have my house and yard sprayed for fleas and other insects. Mark arrived on time and was friendly and very professional. He performed his inspection prior to spraying and to my surprise discovered termites under the shed in the back yard, something that the termite inspector who came just a few weeks before had failed to notice. I was very happy with Marks work and have hired his company to return and exterminate the termites as well.
